John Travolta has shared a touching tribute to his daughter Ella Bleu Travolta to mark her 26th birthday, much to the delight of his fans. Taking to Instagram, the proud dad posted an adorable throwback photo of himself with a young Ella, capturing a candid father-daughter moment from years gone by. Alongside the nostalgic snap, John kept his message simple but sweet, writing: “Happy birthday, my baby girl. I love you so much.”

Forging her own path
The 26-year-old has already followed in her parents’ footsteps as an actress, appearing alongside her father on screen, in the 2019 thriller The Poison Rose and the 2009 comedy Old Dogs. She is also set to star with him in the upcoming thriller Black Tides. She is also carving out a path in music. In 2024, she released her EP Colors of Love, showcasing her soulful voice and songwriting ability.

Exploring veganism
Beyond her work, Ella has also been opening up more about her personal life. In a recent appearance on the Veggiekins YouTube channel, she spoke about a major lifestyle change that has had a positive impact on her wellbeing – going vegan. Inspired by a close friend, she explained that the decision came after seeing the benefits firsthand, describing how the shift has made her feel healthier and more balanced.

Ella has also shared glimpses into her close bond with John, revealing that he has been a steady source of guidance – even when it comes to dating. Recalling his advice, she said he encouraged her to always stay true to herself: “If you’re going on a first date… just make sure to really be yourself and don’t give any false pretenses.”
Family ties
The birthday tribute comes as part of a series of family moments shared by John in recent months, including a sweet post for son Benjamin, whom he took on a scenic trip to Norway. Ella is one of three children John shared with his late wife, Kelly Preston, whom he married in 1991. The couple also welcomed son Benjamin Travolta, while their eldest son Jett Travolta tragically died in 2009 at the age of 16 following a seizure. Kelly later passed away in 2020 aged 57. Despite enduring such profound loss, John has remained a deeply present and supportive father, often sharing glimpses of special moments with his children.
Parenting through grief
John has also opened up about how he approached parenting when it came to the aftermath of Kelly’s passing in 2020. In 2021, speaking on Kevin Hart’s talk show Hart to Heart, he explained that Ben expressed his fears that he would lose John as well.Â
John then shared: “I said, ‘Well, it’s a very different thing.’ And I went through the differences about my longevity and her limited life,” adding: “I said, ‘But you know, Ben, you always love the truth and I’m going to tell you the truth about life. Nobody knows when they’re gonna go or when they’re going to stay. You just do your best at trying to live the longest you can.'”
