German giants chasing Chelsea defender

Chelsea travel to The Emirates to face London rivals Arsenal in the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final on Tuesday evening.

The Blues were beaten 3-2 by the Gunners in the first leg at Stamford Bridge last month, but Liam Rosenior’s side have since won five consecutive matches across all competitions.

In their last two matches, Chelsea have completed impressive turnarounds, beating both Napoli and West Ham United by a 3-2 scoreline.

Rosenior will hope that his side’s momentum can help them overturn Arsenal’s first leg advantage, although the Premier League leaders will undoubtedly provide a stern test.

In the meantime, it has emerged that one Chelsea player is attracting interest from one of Germany’s biggest clubs.

As per Fichajes, Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund are eyeing a possible move for Chelsea defender Axel Disasi.

The centre-back fell out of favour under previous head coach Enzo Maresca and hasn’t been included in a single matchday squad so far this term, which has prompted speculation that he will depart Stamford Bridge.

It is claimed that Dortmund have identified the Frenchman as a prime transfer target, believing he could be a useful partner for Nico Schotterbeck at the heart of their backline.

Disasi joined Chelsea from Ligue 1 side Monaco back in 2023 and has since made more than 60 appearances for the club across all competitions, however he hasn’t featured for the Blues since January 2025.

The French defender spent the latter part of last season on loan at Aston Villa, but has been training away from Chelsea’s first team since returning to west London last summer.

While Dortmund are keen on the player and Chelsea are willing to allow him to depart, it remains to be seen whether or not the two clubs can agree a deal before the transfer window closes on Monday evening.
