A heartwarming video of an elderly Bengali couple keeping their Valentine’s Day tradition alive has delighted the internet with viewers concluding that their bond depicts a “love story that never retired.”

The short clip, shared by Instagram user Smita Chakraborty, documents a beautiful moment between her parents that has continued for over three decades.

The video shows the husband opening the front door of their home as his wife stands outside. Holding a bouquet, he walks toward her, kneels down on one knee and presents her with flowers and a chocolate. She then steps inside, also carrying flowers for him.

Moments later, both are seen dancing to the song Ek Din Aap, smiling and laughing.

“Since evening, baba waited for maa with flowers and chocolates. And maa came home with flowers for baba. Romance that never retired. This is the love I grew up believing in,” read the text overlay on the video.

Smita, in the caption of her post, said that her parents have celebrated Valentine’s Day in the same manner for 32 years – by surprising each other with flowers and celebrating their relationship without conditions. “I grew up watching this. Their love story raised my standards,” she said.
