The Teacher Recruitment Board (TRB) has declared the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TN TET) 2025 results along with the final answer key on its official website, trb.tn.gov.in. As per reports, the board has reduced the qualifying marks by 5 per cent for candidates from reserved categories for teaching posts in Classes 1 to 8. The eligibility certificate will be available online from February 2.

TN TET 2025 results New cut-off The reduction in qualifying marks is expected to help candidates from reserved categories who narrowly missed the cut-off earlier. The results have been prepared based on the minimum qualifying marks fixed by the recruitment board.
Candidates from the general category needed 90 marks to qualify. Those from backward classes and persons with disabilities required 75 marks. For SC, ST and SC(A) candidates, the qualifying mark was set at 60.
TN TET Eligibility Certificate Download Date The TN TET eligibility certificate will be hosted on the TRB website from February 2. This certificate is mandatory after the Supreme Court made TET qualification compulsory for in-service teachers working in government and government-aided schools.
Following the court order, the Tamil Nadu government decided to conduct the TN TET exam three times a year. Earlier, State Education Minister Anbil Mahesh had said that “the court order would impact around 3.28 lakh teachers with over five years of service and nearly 67,000 teachers who are close to retirement.”
TN TET 2025 exam TN TET Paper 1 was held on November 15 and Paper 2 on November 16 in OMR mode. The provisional answer key for both papers was released on November 25. Candidates were allowed to raise objections till December 3.
The final results have been prepared after reviewing these objections.
Along with the results, candidates can also download the final answer key for the master question paper, which contains 150 questions. The mark list is available on the dashboard. To check the result status, candidates must log in to the TRB website using their credentials.
For many aspirants and in-service teachers, the reduced cut-off and timely release of certificates could be the small push they were waiting for.
