Enter the Dark Fantasy World of Verho
Kasur Games is releasing the largest update yet for Verho – Curse of Faces tomorrow, bringing New Game Plus and a wealth of new content to the dark fantasy RPG. Published by CobraTekku Games, the retro-inspired title has steadily built a dedicated following since launch. The game even earned a “Very Positive” rating from over 90% of Steam users. The upcoming update aims to reward that enthusiasm with deeper replayability and expanded gameplay systems.
Headlining the update is New Game Plus, which allows players to revisit the haunting world of Yariv with greater challenges and new possibilities. Alongside it comes an expanded arsenal of spell and weapon variants, introducing fresh tactical options for combat. Players will also encounter new enemy types, dangerous mini-bosses, and additional threats, further enriching the game’s oppressive atmosphere. Rounding out the update is full Japanese localization, making Verho – Curse of Faces more accessible to a global audience.
Drawing inspiration from genre pioneers like King’s Field, Verho – Curse of Faces emphasizes slow-burn exploration, tense battles, and meaningful encounters. The game takes place in Yariv, a bleak land cursed by a mysterious affliction, where showing one’s face means certain death. As a result, every inhabitant hides behind a mask, and uncovering the truth behind this curse drives the narrative forward.
Verho – Curse of Faces is available now on PC via Steam and GOG for $19.99 USD. To coincide with the update, Kasur Games will also release a playable demo tomorrow, offering newcomers a chance to experience the game’s eerie world and deliberate, old-school RPG design firsthand.
