Trump criticized Sunday night’s Grammys ceremony and threatened to sue its host, comedian Trevor Noah, over jokes tying him to Jeffrey Epstein.

Sunday night’s Grammy Awards made history on numerous fronts, but not everyone was pleased with the telecast. The next morning, President Trump took to his personal social media platform, Truth Social, to criticize the event. He also threatened to sue its host, comedian Trevor Noah, over a joke that tied Trump to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The program included several remarks addressing the elephant in the room—by Noah and some of music’s biggest stars alike—at the Trump administration’s “militarized crackdown” on so-called undocumented immigrants. It was Noah’s final time hosting after six years, and CBS’ final time airing the ceremony after decades—an upcoming change Trump noted in his tirade.

“The Grammy Awards are the WORST, virtually unwatchable!” Trump whinged on Truth Social just after the broadcast ended at around 1 AM EST. He added that CBS was “lucky not to have this garbage litter their airwaves any longer.”

Trump also addressed Noah, who made a joke after Billie Eilish secured the Grammy win for Song of the Year. “That is a Grammy that every artist wants almost as much as Trump wants Greenland, which makes sense because Epstein’s island is gone; he needs a new one to hang out with Bill Clinton,” said Noah.

“Noah, a total loser, better get his facts straight, and get them straight fast,” Trump’s post continued. “It looks like I’ll be sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an M.C., and suing him for plenty$ [sic].”

Trump continued his rant, claiming he had “never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close, and until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, have never been accused of being there, not even by the Fake News Media.”

The Justice Department released numerous files as part of an ongoing investigation into the late Epstein, who died in a Manhattan jail in 2019. These files contain almost countless references to both Trump and Clinton, who were close friends of Epstein’s until at least the early 2000s. However, both men have continued to deny any wrongdoing. Trump has even gone so far as to deny that he even knew Epstein—despite the existence of countless photos of the two palling around.
