Sangeeth Soban, who was recently seen in Mad and Mad Square , is playing the lead in the upcoming fantasy comedy Rākāsā . Directed by Manasa Sharma, the film is produced by Niharika Konidela. Nayan Sarika, who was seen in Vishnu Vinyasam , is playing the female lead.
The film, which is releasing on April 3, will be distributed in the Telugu states by Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Movie Makers. Rākāsā is simultaneously gearing up for a large-scale overseas release.
International distribution will be handled by Atharvana Bhadrakali Pictures, which is planning a release across more than 350 screens worldwide, spanning key territories. Overseas premieres are scheduled for April 2, a day ahead of the film’s Indian theatrical release.
Beyond theatrical distribution, the film has also secured notable non-theatrical partnerships that further reinforce its market positioning. The digital streaming rights have been acquired by Netflix, while the audio rights have been bagged by Saregama.
The film also features a lively supporting cast including Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, Tanikella Bharani, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Getup Srinu. The project is written and directed by Manasa Sharma.
On the technical front, Anudeep Dev composes the film’s soundtrack, while cinematography is handled by Raju Edurolu. The production is mounted by Niharika Konidela under the banner Pink Elephant Pictures in collaboration with Zee Studios, with Umesh Kumar Bansal backing the project as producer.
