Did you stay up to watch the Oscars?

THE 98TH ACADEMY Awards are officially done and dusted.

It was a great outcome for the Irish as Killarney’s own Jessie Buckley picked up the Best Actress award for her acclaimed role in Hamnet.

As well as that, Irish animator Richard Baneham won an Oscar for Best Visual Effects for his work on Avatar: Fire and Ash.

The ceremony, hosted by Conan O’Brien, aired live on RTÉ last night and will also be broadcast on RTÉ2 from 9:30pm this evening.
