Oscars 2026: How to watch the 98th Academy Awards next week exclusively on Seven and 7Plus

Hollywood’s night of nights is set to light up our screens as the next week.

Australians need not fear missing out on the action, with the 98th Academy Awards coming to Seven and 7plus live and free on Monday.

Early birds can catch Sunrise following the hotly anticipated awards night from 5.30am, with Seven’s US correspondent Mylee Hogan reporting live from the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood.

The event, which has been at the theatre since 2001, will be hosted by talk show royalty Conan O’Brien.

Don’t miss the fashion triumphs and fails with the Red Carpet Live Show beginning at 9.30am (all times AEDT) on Seven and streaming live nationally on 7plus.

The awards ceremony will begin at 10am, with an encore screening at 9pm.

The Oscars will be hosted by talk show royalty Conan O’Brien. Credit: AAP Aussies continue to take over Hollywood, with Sydney local Rose Byrne and Brisbane heartthrob Jacob Elordi both earning their first Oscar nominations.

Byrne is up for Best Actress for her work in If I Had Legs I’d Kick You while Elordi has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor in Frankenstein.

Australian national treasure — singer, songwriter and author Nick Cave — also scored a nomination for Best Original Song with Train Dreams, written for a movie by the same name which first premiered at the Sundance Film Festival last year.

Credit: Sunrise & Netflix Sydney costume and production designer Fiona Crombie has also been recognised with a nomination for Production Design for Hamnet.

Crombie is no stranger to the awards, having previously been nominated for her work in The Favourite.

A star-studded lineup of presenters will be on hand including Anne Hathaway, Will Arnett, Robert Downey Jr, Demi Moore, Adrien Brody, Javier Bardem, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Zoe Saldaña, Chase Infiniti, Paul Mescal, Kumail Nanjiani, Maya Rudolph and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Seven has the exclusive Australian rights to the 2026, 2027 and 2028 ceremonies.
