But now, just like last year as January turned to February, Ekholm is out with injury. He was missing from practice today and is listed as day-to-day. We can forgive Oilers fans if that worries him because the injury that sidelined Ekholm for so long last year and saw him return at only about 60 per cent speed for. the final part of the 2025 Stanley Cup playoffs also started out as a day-to-day injury.
